I was very happy to see some people I haven't seen in a long time. It was okay I guess to get dressed up, but it didn't have the same allure as before. I kinda felt disgusted by all these people and their insecure, sexually frustrated faces. Forcing themselves out of the closet for this one night of Sodom and Gomorrah! Anyway, it's me, everyone else seemed to be having fun-well as much as they seem to ever have- I'm just evolving into a hippy and more and more I seem to be drawn to the light and whats pure and positive. There's to much envy, backstabbing, elbow work and gossip in the goth scene and the fetish scene. My interpretation of that is...too much insecurity. People are trying to be that which they are not, hiding behind make-up and a facade. Get back to your roots people, I assure you..it feels good !
Seeing the amount comments on my last blog entry...I guess there are no Joy division fans out there then? Oh well, I must be the only freak. Those were the lyrics to one of my favorite songs of theirs, Decades. They played it at my friends funeral. Such painful memories, triggered again by the movie Control, Anton Corbijn, even if you are not a Joy Division fan, I assure you the film is worth seeing. Such a waste of talent, Ian Curtis killed himself aged 23, just before the band hit the big time. Art is often mixed with pain, it is meant to trigger emotions, it always has.
It shouldn't actually kill/injure though.... ferretbite has a link on his page to this disgusting petition against an animal abuse case, in the name of art
