i just started the first volume of what i believe to be seven volumes of anais nin's journal. i don't know if i've ever read anything more capivating or insightful. i'd highly recommend it.
i just went to a real therapist for the first time ever, to work on confidence issues and career and life stuff. it was very interesting, but it is hard for me to accept that my parents and upbringing are all that much to blame for my lack of a successful career and relationship. i like to take the blame for that entirely myself. anyway, we are starting from scratch with my health. no more carbs!!! and cardio workouts 5 times a week. and yoga-- that i can handle. but carbs and running?? this is going to be really hard.
so that's where i am at.

In Manhattan, I like the lower east side and the west village. It all depends on what you want and what you can afford.
