here comes the latest update from the man with the broken face.
all the results are in and all the specialists have been consulted. i have fractured my eye socket, however, despite what was originally feared both my sinus cavity and cheekbone have survived unscathed. in addition to this, my eye has not suffered any serious damage either. what all this means is that i do not recquire surgery
however my football season is well and truly over 
but it is a good season ending injury. broken face, makes me sound tough, tough like a 
anyhow what this all means is that it looks like i might get to return home to fair old sydney town to pass the last week of my holidays. hooooray
an escape from canberra is always good news.
sadly it is a week too early for the sydney hookup but hey thems the breaks. i would have actually been very interested to meet some of the rather odd people who bounce around these here walls of cyberland. would have made good characters for future writings i do believe. and no i would not have paid any of you royalties after i made it big in the literary world.
anyhow. you can all rest easy now, knowing that i am ok

And yay for sydney, it s a fun and good place, as i'm sure you well know. Canberra is.. strange.. but you can legally do U-turns. I freaked out when a taxi did one last time I was there. He just laughed at me and said "Let me guess, your from Sydney". Is it that obvious?
