Alas Alack (3:03 AM):
we grow to hate
it is what we are here for
we are here to make change
and then we are through
we change it all
and in the end
we get remembered and nothing
who gets the world after us will be worse
things will only continue to worsen
until the world itself has enough
Only Mother Nature can win.

Alas Alack (3:00 AM):
every relationship, when you're in it, is so much, is a piece of the big everything
once it's behind you, it's generally so little
if i let her go, and i'm so little, then it's really not so everything as all that.

this is what happens when i get intense... fractured guy, cracked and under pressure...

the question is,
A) do i start having nervous breakdowns because i can sense things going this way, or
B) do these things happen while I'm having nervous breakdowns, because that's how I'm meant to learn from them, or
C) do I create these situations in order to intesify the sense of pressure all around me, or
D) do these things happen all the time, and is it only my perception that changes from moment to moment, or

i read your post on the board regarding piercing. I work for Acme piercing company in Cincinnati, ohio so i'm a pretty reliable source of info..
Healing time for tongue is 6-8 weeks, during which, you should not go down on your lady. Its an open wound and other peoples cooties (any kind actually) are the quickest way to mess up a piercing.
When you go to get pierced, you will want to eat something before because you might want to stay away from hot, crunchy, or spicy foods. Youll swell anywhere from 2-7 days. Your piercer will use slightly longer jewelry to allow for this. if you go to a shop with internally threaded jewelry (higher quality, 316LVM Implant grade stainless steel, same stuff used in hospitals for pins, etc), the jewelry is interchangeable and the sizes of threading are standardized so you can get replacement balls, and other fun ones to accessorize as well as a down sized post after your swelling goes down.
keeping swelling to a minimum can be done by avoiding using straws, alcohol, or taking painkillers that are blood thinners (aspirin, Tylenol, try using Aleve) eating lots of cold foods, and taking care of it properly. Youll wash out your mouth with a mild mouth wash after eating or drinking anything but water. Good mouth wash to try is Biotene. Its a lil expensive but its alcohol free and doesnt sting. Also taste good.. if your using Listerine, cut it 50/50 with water. Another thing to speed healing is doing sea salt soaks. Pinch (1/4th teaspoon) of sea salt to ever 8 ounces of water rinsing with it opens the wound and gets out all the dead skin cells so new ones can form. Its like a saline rinse.
Make sure where ever you go opens everything in front of you, walks you through the piercing process, and is a credible place. You may want to search on BMEzine.com for places people have recommended. =) good luck
