My parents are coming this Friday. They were trying to get in contact with me to figure out what of all my crap they're going to haul out here in their minivan. I decided they should keep the comic books for now just because they've got climate control and I'm pretty low even on the number of windows that open. It'll be a smorgasbord of shit I should have sold long ago once they unpack the van at my house.
Two of the roses I bought - the only ones in the ground outside - are starting to bloom. Neither of them are quite what they were sold as. One is the regular colored version (meiviolin) instead of the red version and the other is the floribunda-bush type instead of the climbing kind used for hanging on fences. They were both expensive - I didn't realize it until I shopped around more - and I'm pretty upset. I haven't decided whether to return them or not. It's not a good time to plant replacements.
Among other things, I bought an artemisia absinthum. It probably won't grow well here but I want to give it a shot. Coincidentally, I overheard my supervisor and a coworker talking about the coworker trying absinthe over the weekend. I didn't hear any details.
