Friday was a tough day/night. I got a call early friday, well early for me anyway. It was from the Moulin Rouge. The sister club of the one I work at, Obsession's. It seems that the day bartender called in sick, and they could not get ahold of their other day bartender, and wanted me to come work the shift. I knew that I was working friday night at obsession's, but hey, I need the money. So, I did a double.
Working at Moulin was quite a change. This club, also a strip club, is established, and a lot more professional than mine. Shows me we have a lot to go. It was very strange being on that side of the bar there. Moulin is where I hang on occasion, and where most of the strippers I have dated work. Including, yep you guessed it...Kayla. So, I was definitely on egg shells. Especially when the manager told me she was coming in, and asked if I would be professional about the situation. I was, it was awkward, but went off without incident.
On the good side. A friend, Jenna, was my waitress. Jenna and I met about 2 years ago, at a local bar that I hung out at. She was a bartender there. After she had left, I started bartending there, and we have remained good friends. Mainly because we have both lived in Europe, and actually hung out in the same places. Me in Denmark, and her in Germany. Jenna and I had never actually worked together before, and I must say we had a blast. And on the whole, jenna knew of the problems with kayla, and ran interference for me, to keep away the trouble, not to mention, joking around with me to keep my mind off of it. Plus, I'm sure it bothered kayla to see me there behind the bar, and having a good time.
P.S. Moday night at Obsessions Caberat, we are going to have DJ Slice on the mic, and have Drink specials. Contact me if anyone is interested in coming, and I'll see if I can pull of, no cover for some.

Yeah, most people like reality shows, I get enough drama from my work, Strippers are a handful. Kayla is her dance name. Her real name is casey. I'm not sure if she worked at caligula's. I know she danced at Moulin for a while, then quit for a while and recently started again right before I met her
