...yes, tomorrow at 15:30 approx I shall be sitting with a DSA examiner answering dumb questions about how one checks one's oil or some such refinement. Bye 16:15 approx I shall either be on the road or on anti-depressants...

Wish me luck. whatever

Good luck? Luck is for the weak. You have skills. You will pass. You will be fine. You will rule over the roads of this fair isle with a will of steel and a rod of iron. And some other metal objects.
ciel:

I have finished swearing. I finished swearing about midday. I finished swearing after two hours of tearing my lounge apart trying to find my passport.

I felt confident that I was exempt from the law of the passport this time. I felt confident that my passport was in a particular place in my lounge and I could just stroll over and pick it up. I...

So I'd just like to mention that 'ow!' okay, still fucking kills but I am mobile at least (about 2.5 mph yay whatever ) And since I have been to the chiropractor I have a really good line in dizzy spells and headaches. Nice.

The thought of three hours in work and then getting home is enough to make a strong man quail (or a weak...

Those of you following my adventures in the Today Sucked group will know that I am currently unable to walk more than a few yards (about the length of my flat) due to having completely fucked my back up putting a DVD of Ulysses 31 into my DVD player.

Add to this thet my work are ringing me up and basically accusing me of skiving....

I had some back problems a couple years ago. The doctor said heat was good, and the only way I could sleep was by sleeping atop an electric heat pad. I told the doc my trick a week later and she had a fit, saying no more than 1/2 hour at a time. I delayed my recovery, apparently. So keep that in mind.

God, and to think that just 3 weeks ago you were a healthy young buck frolicking in the park drinking vodka and apple juice.

Well, what a surprise.

Followers of my dilemma on the message boards may be aware that I have been upon the horns of the famous Birthday Girl dilemma. The short version it is the day of the birth of the girl I want to get together with and I wanted to show her that I am aware in some thoughtful loving way that says: Let's...

Lucky moose filth.

Yes, folks, four cheesy grins represents a loss of 4lbs. There is 4lbs less fpkk than there was this time last week (as the underground train rumbled toward King's Cross). Why?

Well you can blame CreamyGoodness who's camera of truth showed me just how tubby I had become working behind...

It would be the simplest answer. And I am a simple person. So either it's going to be logical and be simple like me, or it's going to go the other way and be complicated to counterbalance my simplicity. confused

I like the idea of chocolate bazookas.
marianabanana:
biggrin I'm sometimes a worrier. I also worry about worrying too much. But then sometimes I'm sensible and don't worry about the things that I have no control over.

Come to America. The roads are always wide and empty, gas is cheap, and there is no congestion charge or any nonsense like that. It is, truely, the land of plenty.
johnnyforeigner:
My advice (as someone who, legally, is not even allowed to drive) is to get those first near-death experience(s) out the way quick. After that, you'll soon get used to Nova drivers attempting to shorten your natural.

Glad you're ok smile

A WORD ABOUT FRIENDS

To look at my evolving friends list over the past few weeks one would think that I had suddenly become the most popular guy in the world. Unless you were a fellow SGer who understands that a friends list it there for... erm... well, what I plan to use it for... in...

"Crivens! He updated his journal!"

Cripes! You used the word 'crivens' in a sentence!

Fantastic.

Friends lists? Oddly, mine is made of people I would consider to be 'friends'. Oh, okay, maybe a couple of them are more 'acquaintances'.
douglasfir:
I tend to ignore my friends list completely - I am a bad bad SG friend! I am also terrible at updating my journal! But I do check out the nakedness almost every day... so that's a start - right?!?! wink

As to whether the London trip was worth it... hell yeah! Especially as they are thinking of doing an event in LA later this year to celebrate the opening of the new Jay & Silent Bob's Secret Stash... I probably would have gone to that but now I've had my bi-annual Smith-fix (2000, 2002 & 2004!) I can hopefully use some restraint and save my money!

Just out of curiosity what do you do in your one man show? Are you a stand-up comedian or is it something a bit more avant-garde?
