THE 'AT PEACE' ENTRY
Amazing to think that nearly two weeks ago now I was at the worst I'd felt for a long long time. Things can change in seconds. Life is showing me some good things at the moment and I feel very good about everything. Except possibly my bank balance... but meh. Who wants to be the richest guy in some cemetary?
Attended the wedding of my sister and her man. They seem a very sweet couple and I hope it's all good. It looks all good and made me a little teary. Marriage is a beautiful thing that gets confused with a bunch of ugliness. I think a registry office wedding is actually quite good, it was stripped down to a simple, short promise and it was a wonderful thing. Call me a sentimentalist if you like...
In other news, and this is really amazing news, my littlest sister sat my stepdad down and told him she was very unhappy that he and I didn't get on. Bless her a hundred hundred times. All that was required was just such an out for both of us to put aside what I think we both acknowledge was a stupid 2 decades of not getting on for no particular reason.
Essentially some of the hot girls on this site weren't even conceived when my stepdad and I fell out. Last night him, my mum and myself went for a quiet beer after the reception and had a really good chat. Today it feels like a weight I didn't even know I had been carrying has disappeared and everything is instantly better than it was before.
Never fuck with the wisdom of a nine year old who knows her mind.
And finally, apropos of nothing, I have been listening with an amazed ear to one KT Tunstall, am listening now in fact. I am in love
