THE 'MY NEW JOB BLOWS' ENTRY
Yup yup, 'sall true.
These people seem to me to be muppets. They have a mean spirited contract of employment which gains them very little in terms of people management security and pisses off new employees before they reach the building.
They seem to make shit up as they go along networking/programming wise so everything that already exists is a fucked up mess.
When I try not to fuck it up any further by being careful and asking questions the guy I work with looks at me like I'm some kind of imbecile when in fact I am trying to save us problems further down the line.
He started asking me toward the end of the day how I worked before and I just replied that our system worked in a different way and this was all just new. He regarded me suspiciously like i had made up my CV, and like I hadn't done a frickin' test before his eyes when I came for interview. Plus I was genuinely interested in a piece of work he gave me so I made enthusiastic noises poiting how the system might work and he looked like me like I was some kind of weird alien... although I thought that working out how to make software work was like... I don't know... my job... or something.
I want out of this already. I think they may boot me shortly.

thanks. that blog sounds like i could have written it. 'i knew her for a bit several years ago...' but i'm encouraged. if she's here in LA, i'll find her. i hadn't thought of her for a long time, but she's be perfect for a thing i'm working on.

yeah, i was encouraged when i read they thought she was in LA. after searching more, i grew less hopeful. one post said that she has said she was quitting music. i'll let you know if i find out something though.
