You might ask me: "Are you disappointed that you had to cancel your show due to venue issues?" And I would have to say: "Yes, I am."

Then I would have to add: "However, Edinburgh is lovely, the people have been splendid, the time I have had is overall positively positive. The only real issue is that it is so humid I have spent most of my time damp."

The people at the eurohostel where I stayed were lovely and I was only a ten minute walk from my nearest fringe venue and only a further ten minutes to the venue I booked. I got to see a couple of shows on Wednesday night and may see a couple today. Marcus Brigstocke was surprisingly hilarious (that was meant to be praise).

Youse folks have all been very supportive of my efforts and the fact is I might never have got here if it hadn't been for the feeling that somebody was pulling for me. I have no regrets that it didn't work out.

The only thing that does sting is that I have no idea whether the shows were funny or not. Full explanations shall be forthcoming on my website when I get home tomorrow.
