You past the fpkk taste test! Let there be singing and dancing in the streets... to The Streets, that one about not mugging yourself... that is sweet in an annoying streak of piss macho kind of way.

That's kinda like the whole glass half empty/half full thing isn't it? I'd definitely go for more rather than less. IMHO it's better to have made a few mistakes (and learnt from them) rather than regretting not taking the opportunities in the first place. I guess though I'm almost psychotic in my optimism - not everyone's way but it gets me through the day...
suggs:
personnally i'm trying to find an even balance.

Well...
Well, well, well.
It truly is the squeaky wheel that gets the grease. Blimey. I have to say I wasn't expecting the hoop-la that resulted and I hang my head in shame.
Only now I say it does the guilt come sleeting down on me. I knew... I knew that all that was going on was that SGUK were checking me out. It wasn't...

I don't think you upset anyone, did you..?
When I joined up I did wonder about the clique element, but there isn't one with SGUK's... just a desire to keep out tossers from meet-ups, etc.
come along to the film night on Aug 1st.. the last one kicked arse.
but the entertainment industry group.. now there's a clique.. I'm not enough of a celeb for that one..

seriously man, don't worry about it...
like most of the long-established groups on SG we can seem clique-y to the uninitiated. i for one didn't take offence at the post or calling it the c-word.
jump in and get posting!

You can thank Cherie for a picture I lovingly refer to as the 'egg gurn'. It was all part of the SG Scavenger Hunt and it was a wicked couple of hours in the wee smalls of Monday.
Big ups to all who were there for the experince on that occasion and I'm sorry I can't be there for the end.
Laters y'all.

Bloody hell, I posted that one a while ago. Forgot all about it really. I cheated in any case, I copied the lyrics from the back of my brothers single of the song. My memory aint that good
Monkey is class. I have a much prized collection of the videos of them. You could always use Pigsy or Sandy? Or Tripitaka! Cue playground arguments on whether it was a bloke or a woman...

A shiver run down me spine when I saw the intro for the first time in about 15 years. The music, the imagery, the wonderful scream of Monkeeeeeey! It's aged well compared to other youthful memories such as Battle of the Planets. I wouldn't mind seeing The Adventure Game again though.
Right. I set up this journal and all the other stuff that goes with it a week ago. At the time I applied to join SGUK (cos I'm from the UK like it says) I downloaded the flyers because I know where to put them in my little town but a little voice in my head said 'stop'
And then it said 'Is this really...

Well I've only just arrived in SG land this week myself, so difficult to comment much. It wouldn't surprise me if there's an element of cliquey-ness (is that a word?) I've encountered it before in regards to the local goth and LARP scenes. The recent posts on the thread in the 'hookup' board would suggest otherwise, but then this could be hasty apology tactics. As an outsider looking in, I'm up for joining any UK typ thing whether it be SGUKI or SGUKII or whatever. Maybe we should arrange for an non-SGUK UK type meet in London some time soon for the hell of it?
This kid outside my window is playing cricket with his mum and a stupid plastic bat.
I'm going to have to go out.

I don't think the kid and his mother are having quite such an encounter... but who knows... Oedipus probably spanked Jocasta with some form of Ancient Greek plastic bat at some point.

I just made the bizarre realisation that I'm currently experiencing a phase of 'not wanting to look at naked chicks on the Internet'. Why? How? WTF?

I haven't really got anything to put in here but my last entry no longer makes any sense.

Echo Nixon Portia...
Doesn't that sound like some kind of freaky military radio code?

I have a journal... But I might post here on occasion.
I have come to hate talking to people I don't know. Sorry.

I've been aware of Suicidegirls for, like, ever. I just never got around to joining until the other day when my ex-boss emailed me the link saying "I saw these girls and thought of you"... which was very sweet of her. I think she knew me far too well. Being that close to your boss is never a good idea. Shame that now we don't work together, I don't get to kiss her as often.
