I like you. A lot. You're sweet, intelligent, and down to earth. I don't know you very well yet, but I'd really like to get to know you better. I feel like you've opened up a lot to me the past few times we've seen each other. Honestly, it makes me a little nervous that you're just out of a long-term relationship, but it doesn't scare me away. I'm alright with it so long as you are, too.
I guess I've been taking things slow for two reasons. One is because I don't want to rush into things and scare you off or freak you out, and the other is because I am a big fat chicken who can't shut up and kiss the girl. I do realize that it's been probably over five years since you've actually gone through the dating process. I don't want to go to fast. But I really do like you. I get that butterflies-in-my-stomach feeling when I think about you.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I really wanted to kiss you tonight.

well since we are both on the same level here. as a guy, who doesn't want to rush things, you are doing it right. 3rd date is always the time to go for the kiss. especially if it's near the end of the night. go for it. if there is a 3rd date both parties are genuinely interested. and it is a safe play to make your move. just keep your hands in respectful places!
