There was a shooting.
Not at my club, but at the one in New Bedford. But my one of the managers, who works at both clubs, was killed. He was a good man.
My roommate woke me up this morning and told me the news. Apparantly the shooter was an ex of the bartender, and he came in at 2:30am this morning decked out in body armor and a high-powered rifle. The manager, a bouncer, and the shooter were killed, and several police officers were injured.
My club is closed today. Everyone is shaken up. The manager was the nephew of the owner of all 3 clubs. I'm stressed out and sad. I grabbed my laptop and crawled into my roommate's bed. It's good to have friends in times like this. We're both good Irish stock, so we're drinking tonight in his memory and remembering the good times. :-)
I know this is going to bring business to a crawl for a bit (even though this is supposed to be our busy season), so I think I'm going to try looking for a second job.

that is some terrible news. it is sad how dangerous a place like that can become because of one crazy asshole. i'm glad you are alright.

oh my gosh....i'm watching this story on the news right now. what a terrible tragedy. they were so young, and seemed like wonderful people. hope you feel better soon, hun.
