Today after school I went to the theater alone, as usual, and saw The Passion of the CHRIST. First of all the movie was technically great, lighting, cinematography, set, costume everything was done very well with great attention to detail. Was it too violent? No. not in my opinon, when you take the story of the new testament and translate it into a picture it cant be pretty, the bible describes the punishment that jesus recieved as a very violent scourging. I didnt expect to see his ribs exposed from the beatings though, yea that was a shocker. On a lighter note the movie kinda seemed like the ending of braveheart where william wallace was being executed and everytime something horrible was done the camera pans away, not in the passion, it pulls no punches at times i cringed and i think of myself as pretty desensitzed. all in all i left the theater with a heavy heart and alot on my mind.
