I picked up the new album from Dave Grohls "metal" sideproject today, im still a little hazy as to whether i like the work on the cd or not. One thing about the album that fucking claws at me on every song is the quality of the recording and mixing, its just not crisp enough, and if it was done purposely it was a bad decision. There are a few enjoyable songs on the album, of course SHAKE YOUR BLOOD, which has lemmy from motor head(the SG girls being in the video didnt hurt either, which by the way the video kicks ass) also the song CENTURIES OF SIN, featuring Cronos of VENOM is good, as well as the Max Cavelera and King Diamond songs. But dont let rolling stone magazine or any other mainstream publication confuse you by calling this album METAL, it is hard rock at best.
Besides that my weekend was nice, i partied a lot, hung out with great friends, and i prob wont be able to travel to bama much anymore since i got a damn job now. anyway...off to watch the tv.
