I finally understand. This section of my life was the close of more than just a chapter, it was the close of the first book. The hero has become a fascinating character, and you can understand why, even in his professed simplicity, he is so complex a person. He has gathered the true and faithful friends around him, people as complex as he is. Even as he stands alone, he relies on the strength of those who have stood by him before and will stand by him again. And now he stands at the precipice of the turning point. At this moment, he needs every last little bit of what he has gone through to jump.

Everything I've done, everything I've believed, every tear shed, every drop of blood lost, every time I've been swallowed by despair, every person I've spoken to... it's all led me to HERE, NOW. And I'm not afraid. Not in the least.
