Today I got one of those quasi-chain letter emails that gives you a list of 20 or so trivial questions about yourself that your suppose to fill out and return to the person that sent it to you and any other friends that you want to "know you better". Usually those go straight into my trash can but I was bored out of my mind at work, so I gave it a shot....
The questions really are trivial...things like favorite color...if you could have any super power what would it be...if you could talk to anyone from your past, who would it be.....etc. etc.
The thing about trivial questions is that we never ask them to ourselves, so when we take a few minutes to ask them, the answers are sometimes surprising. It's amazing how few of us know the trivial things about ourselves. We're so focused on the big picture that we forget about the details. I had a coach in high school who always said, "Just worry about the details and everything else will fall into place"....Maybe some of us our lost because we don't ask ourselves the trivial questions.....we don't take care of the details.
