I officially own the worlds worst hunting dog ( he's not really a hunting dog , as you will see ) . We have the back yard fenced in so he can run about in there & poop . I take him out back , tell him to go do his business & let him off the leash . He immediately starts acting like he's on the trail of something . He goes up to one of the places in the fence where the picket has spread a bit , sniffs , then goes about his business . I assume that whatever was in here has gone out through the hole in the fence , good . I walk back up to the gate , look down , & here's this tiny bunny all scrunched down in the grass looking up at me . I told him " now would be a good time to run out of here " but he just stayed there . By this time , the dog is almost back with me . He almost steps on the poor thing , still not noticing it at all , & we go back into the house . Now I know he has a fairly good nose , but how he could walk right over this damn rabbit & not notice has me wondering about my opinion .
So , that was the excitement I had today . Thrilling , huh ? Went down to South Jersey Thursday after work to pick up my mom , brought her out here for the weekend , then proceeded to spend most of the time behind the wheel of my car driving her all over the place . I'm about ready to do a lot of nothing this weekend . However , we shall see how things go in that department .

And quit it with that "bad friend" nonsense! I've been away from these parts for the majority of the summer, I'm just now catching up with everybody. Happens to the best of us.
