Rant alert.
Why is it that 'entertainers' who are not over-endowed with talent themselves feel justified in slagging off their contemporaries?
I think particularly of the Gallagher brothers, Kelly Jones of the Stereophonics and Pete & Jeff on Virgin Radio. I hate the latter two with a vengeance as they don't even create music. Is mocking and denigrating others an attempt to delfect attention from your own inadequacies - or just rampant hubris?

I have no choice but to listen to the pair of unfunny, charmless under-talented, over-opinionated wankers because it is on the p.a at the place I clean.This morning their target was Status Quo (fair enough - they are commonly considered as boring & untalented, athough I like them) but they also mouth off about other DJs including their colleagues and predecessors - & then they play shite that is often worse than the stuff on Virgin's 'banned' list. "Better music - more of it"
Better? Than what?
More? From a playlist that makes you sick of their 'approved' bands/songs by the 3rd day? Even other shows on the same station manage to be more varied.
