In a distant place the Earth shrugged.
I don't know whether to be worried or not yet: I have a friend in Australia & another in New Zealand who may possibly have spent Christmas in the region the tsunami hit. One isn't due back to work till the 11th and the other is on a year out and moves around a lot.
The 3 of us are lax in exchanging emails so I have no idea of what their plans were or whether, if either did go up there, they are alright: there are no mutual friends I can contact. The chances are that I have no need to worry but I still do.

i just found out a friend i used to work with is ok
she flew on xmas morning, early hrs i think and was planning to go to Madras, the east coast of India that was hit
but luckily they were larging it in Milan after an interconecting flight
but it's very frustrating, i don't know her surname, no e-mail so couldn't find out till i got in contact with her boyfriends work
like mine i'm sure your worries are unnecessary
closer to home, are you out friday night? am gonna make an effort and get out
