Yesterday In HMV I heard a trad jazz version of Smells like teen spirit . It actually worked.
It reminds me of another similar instance when I heard Shirley Bassey singing The power of love on one of my Dad's cds. I cannot stand her, and THAT song is one of my most-hated songs ever; but the combination of the two, in some bizarre way, was quite good.
Christmas may be just a fading memory but my Christmas goodies live on. I've seen off my two bottles of Port, the liqeuer chocolates and most of the Belgian chocolate biscuits - but my stock of Christmas puddings (and my two - formerly - expensive cakes) will last me for a while yet.
