I usually drink vodka, but since everyone at the party was drinking beer I figured it was that or nothing.

A split day. Whilst still at my first job a I got a text from a friend asking if I wanted to meet for lunch. How could I refuse. return home and reschedule my afternoon garden for the morning (when you work for yourself you can do that). Race off there stoppiung only for two slices of toast & glass of apple juice. Race back....

I love the Secret Garden as well, and yes I really am trying to find new reading material so I won't be glued to the t.v. all the time. I love books featuring animals, they are generally so much fun to read.

Yeah, I am having a great day today. I can't wait til the client party tomorrow for all the clients at the Center they all work so hard just for those two days a year (the Xmas party and the Summer party).

Not a lot to relate, that I can think of. I don't know how much of my reluctance to be more 'personal' in my journals is due to not feeling it is of interest to others, or whether my judgement is accurate & it really is uninteresting. I have a strong urge to try & be upbeat & 'entertaining' which doesn't always reflect what i...

Am perusing piles of photos, as said previously, fo stuff I could upload, possibly even featuring me - few & hard to find that they are. They aren't flattering but I would submit one or both of Greg Friedler's pics of me for my profile were it not for possible copyright probs. I spend too much time taking photo's of stuff that interests me &...

Probably cheaper to buy a digital camera than a scanner to be honest - and easier because you won't spend so long re-sizing. I'll try and post more pics of Scotland when I can. Where did your brother stay? I lived right in the heart of stone circle country so I was spoilt for choice. I recommend Julian Cope's book 'The Modern Antiquarian' where he tries to visit every one in the UK. He's up around Aberdeenshire at least once a year. I'll try and post a pic of my fave at some point. Unfortunately I haven't found any covens when I've visited it but I still live in hope biggrin

PS - Happy belated birthday Chrisnail. Hope you had a blast.

Am sorting through piles of photo's (high on shopping list - a decent film scanner or at least a regular one with film attachment - many of my favourite pix are on tranny) so I can get some of them uploaded. A task long overdue, but it is time.
beccadaisy:
thanks, i'll check it out! smile
peggy:
Awwww......thanks. blush

Can't wait until you upload some.

A week late but so what. ARRR!!!
-A great weekend meeting up w/ distant & not-so-dist. relatives, great hotel, great weather, fantastic scenery, no fucking camera frown mad - Yorkshire scenery is gorgeous.
The secret of staying nicely inebriated - at least in my case - seems to be to ditch beer & spirits & drink alcopops or Martini (bianco - I don't know why but I seem...

First time at my computer for 2 days, & first time online for 3. Getting up early (like 4.30) M-F then, once the cleaning job's finished, needing to have another couple of hours snooze before setting off to keep folks' gardens neat - often until 8pm - and then being out most weekends too does limit my cybertime frown
I love gardening but now the busy...

I'm back online with a new computer & new OS, having abandoned pc's for Apple - my monitor died early this month & as my pc was tottering on the brink of oblivion anyway I decided to replace the whole lot. Though I had been considering getting a 'Mac' I was undecided on whether to get one this time or to stick with pc -...

Live and Dangerous is the one I listen to the most, I was thinking more in terms of studio albums but that would be my overall favourite too. Never saw them live, and that saddens me greatly! What tour(s) did you see?
The Dead Boys are not together anymore, sadly, Stiv Bators died a number of years back. Again, I never saw them in concert but I did pass them in the street, which was a big thrill for me at the time!
chrisnail_and_i:
eeek Wow!... and you were the one looking for an envy smiley earlier?! Part of Live and Dangerous was recorded in my hometown but I was not really into them until '79, and I think the last time they played Toronto was '78.

I just bought a bread machine! The local hardware shop was selling the very model I was eyeing up a year ago - at 90 less than it was then: I paid 50. It was probably marked down to make way for a new model but it's still a bargain. Haven't used it yet but if you hear reports on the news of a strange...

I'm a huge Thin Lizzy fan, what is you favourite song(s) and album? For me the album would be Jailbreak, the song is a whole lot tougher to choose, I can narrow it down to three but that's it: It's Getting Dangerous, Got to Give It Up, and Philomena. All three get me pretty choked up.
