I'm very rarely ill, but I am now - I'm cold, ache, feel sick. I can't even think straight: seems to be flu. I was fine yesterday; where the hell did it come from?

Sorry to hear about your accidents. If life is like that you should set up a video camera for permanent recording... you could make a fortune from You've Been Framed... 250 a clip isn't it?

At least bocuma pulled at the school dance, which is more than I ever did.

Damn. I forgot the savoy & cauliflower. frown

Today was disorganised. 2 hours work this morning then sta at my computer configuring my broadband set up. I don't think the modem is the fastest on the market but it is an improvement on the 'thing' inside my Mac.

It needed the obligatory 2-hour session of scrolling back & forth in the instructions, head scratching, swearing and...

And the band - awesome: tight, loud & powerful. Well worth thye journey to the foreign parts of Norf' London. A great evening & I really enjoyed it. Home, 3hours sleep then...

I was clearing litter & dead leaves in a clients front garden, which is on a busy main road, when I found an old soiled nappy which someone had thrown over the fence. Lovely. puke

Added a few more pics to my motley collection.

I decided to be more organised with my journal and instead of spending online time trying to think of things & compose them in a legible, hopefully interesting, manner I created a file for notes of stuff that I think of, or which happens. It should should help me remember things more readily instead of the regular head scratching sessions (my keyboard is NOT covered...

Emily is my real name

I would do a nude photoshoot, and the bravest thing I ever did was have the courage to leave my mom's house at 17 and make it through high school. Knowing that for a little while I would be thought ill of, because I left 5 months after my father passed away due to a massive heart attack (coronary) and I knew that if I never left I would never grieve for him because I needed to be alone to sort things out, without my family "needing" me.

My street is a sleepy little side street, it is three blocks long if that. It is lined by tiny little houses, not quite bungalows, there is an abundance of trees and elderly couples. There are many rental homes since this is a college town, but when you go down the street all the way to the south, and then turn east there is a grade school, this is the kind of neighborhood I want my children, when I have them, to grow up in. There is enough shade to keep the sun from burning into the house and enough sun to keep it cheerful. Small, sweet and sleepy.

Just going up for a fleeting visit on the weekend of the 17th. I'm in need of some Scottish humour and artery clogging cuisine I think. I'm off to Glasgow for a wedding at the start of October as well but I don't really count them as Scottish wink

Sound like you had a fairly relaxed weekend. Did you manage to avoid the salt and vinegar stadium?

Better update this journal tomorrow then. I had time earlier but got too busy with 'other matters' - it's past midnight & I am going to bed.
