I spent six hours over two days, most of it on my hands and knees, digging a channel through 70ft or so of hard soil to take an irrigation hose. I had to wear a hat, thick top and gloves despite the warm weather because of various prickly things I had to go round, through and under
I don't want to do that again.

"Hold this" he said.
I took hold of the huge stunt Kite that he passed to me.
A sudden gust took the yellow monstrosity and my feet lifted from the ground; I fought against it, was dragged along the ground. I became airborne again.

"Hold on, I'll grab the line" he cried.
He tripped.
Everyone else just stood there, watching.

I looked down.
"Shit!" I...

Bollocks!
The card I'm paying for my SG account with is one I lost and cancelled, and forgot to alter to the new one in my account details - so of course this transaction has been declined. I cannot find the replacement so may have to cancel that too, if it isn't where I think it is (where I work as a cleaner; I will...

I saw your comment, but as you will know by now, I didn't make it. I'd drank my own body weight on thursday and friday and just couldn't cope with the idea of leaving the flat. Hope it was a good night though. kiss

Thanks!

Anyone else like Burt Bacharach, or Bacharach/David, songs?
I am probably talking to the over 30's here.
I have loads of other favourite composers as well, such as Lennon-MrCartney, but most of his/their songs are so hummable I can't help it whenever I hear one.

Who is your favourite composer or composers?
More then one is allowed.

I finally dipped my toe into eBay last night. I was after a Nikon film scanner. I thought I was doing the right thing by holding my bid till the last few minutes. Obviously I still have some way to go. My bid (160) was home until about 30 seconds remained, when it was topped. I tried to raise mine to 170 but ran out...

I've got a podXT whichis great, but with the footcontroller is a bit big to drag around just to use for delay and wah.
I'm probably gonna switch to pedal for live and use the pod at home.
robsilver:
Live my "sound" is the marshall, I only use the pod as an effect unit now.

I couldn't recomend the podxt highly enough, they are brilliant, and you can get free downloads for it from line6.com so it has even more stuff.

I found the sound from the pod would vary a lot depending on what PA it was DI'd through live, but at home or in rehearsal it was 110% fantastic!

Heheh well seeing as it's partly for the boy's benefit but he doesnt seem remotely interested! I have this really large bookshelf thing and I suddenly had the revelation that it could probably fit in my bedroom therefore freeing up some space in my teensy living room. Not exciting, but it was a revelation nonetheless! tongue

wildlife photo exhibit sounds cool. maybe i'll try to get out there to see it. i used to go to an exhibit every weekend, but then i just started to not be able to find the time (i was busy everyday of the week and i worked sat too), or be too exhausted by the time sunday came.

its nice to be catching up with friends. have fun! smile
