Yeah..I've thought about going there before, but I'm always put off by the fact that I know very little about actual real gardening, and i'm not sure how that would go down somewhere like that.
i love the sound of some of those varieties though, so maybe I'll go and have a peek around.

smile I finally got to say hello to next door's half-grown kitten (the one from the squirrel episode). It was sniffing around the plants outside the back door so I tapped on the glass & slowly opened the door. It was a bit wary of me but (as usual with cats) it couldn't resist coming in to investigate, although my intention had been to go out...

thanks for the advice. yes i can see how more things can go wrong with getting the galaxy done. i need to basically draw and colour what i want from scratch. something that contains 200 billion stars needs to be simplified a bit!

i requested to join SGUK when i first joined SG, then sent another request when i had a decent number of journal entries under my belt at the start of the year. havent heard anything back since..

yes a list of artists would be good, thanks. a tattooist in LA recommended Lal Hardy, in Muswell Hill..claiming that he was the only decent tattooist in the whole of britain!

the_mekon:
yes no worries. i've sent another request, so we'll see..

Well, of course the person I spoke to seemed uninterested and fed up in her dead end job. She took ages looking for my file, and then said "what's wrong with it?"

I asked for the means tested loan, not the non means tested loan.

You have to get your parents to fill out the...

I'm 26. I'm an independent student. I filled in the form according to the instructions for independent students. I can't afford to get through the year without the maximum financial help available.

OK, i'll write a letter to your case worker...

blah blah blah...

I start again at the end of September.

My guitar fell over as I began to type. It's been standing against the wardrobe all day with not a hint of a wobble. Perhaps I type loudly .... shocked

What I was going to say was that I saw a truly magical incident in the back garden this morning. Through the back door I saw a squirrel cross from one side of the yard to...

i was reading about the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory film. apparently there is a scene featuring real squirrels, and the film crew were really pleased because theyTRAINED THE SQUIRRELS TO CRACK NUTS. what the? isnt that er, what squirrels do anyway?!

mad

The book club I joined earlier this year sent me (so they say) the introductory package of books I ordered shortly after. They never arrived (if they were ever sent), or were stolen from the doorstep (I live on a busy street).
Since then I have been protesting that I never received them and they have been disregarding my protestations. Now they have presented me...

Yesterday I made a trek into the West End to retreive my wallet from Tesco's Covent Garden, where I stupidly left it on the checkout counter on Saturday evening.
On Monday morning I got a call saying that they had it. Yay! smile When I lose things they usually stay lost Everything inside was still there. I just have to await my new debit card and...

*Sigh*
I know my own commenting has been intermittent lately because, although I have relatively few friends on my list compared to some, I rarely have the time at the moment to go through everyone's journal regularly but I do try to respond to every comment to my own journal if I have anything to say. I don't expect a response to every journal comment...

I'm sorry if I haven't commented much recently, I'm not used to having to go to work eeek and by the time I get home gone 10pm I'm knackered and just want my bed. Yeah, I know, I'm lame tongue

I get that from time to time too, these things come and go, sometimes it feels like you're flavour of the month, other times it feels like you are a lepper. Don't worry about it, it is dispiriting, but I think things are a bit quiet around here at the moment anyway, especailly amongs those of us who have been here for a while.

Monday 18th update ..... I am going to leave my questions up for a while longer - cos I'm nosey.
I'm not getting to spend much time online lately. I have to earn and do other things but I still resent having to grab time in between rather than having uninterrupted sessions - I'm terrible at organising my time. So many journals left unread .......

greetings

been away for a while, i know. a few long weekends here and there, interspersed with some back and stomach issues that i gladly seem to be over..

did you go see kung fu hustle? any good? my guess would be yes

unfortunately i can play no instruments. i'm learning the harmonica [celeste, if you are reading this: i know, i'm very lazy..]..!

its interesting how many people seem to harbour a desire to play the saxophone. perhaps one christmas morning in the near future, the land will be ringing with the sound of a million people trying to play their new instrument in their front gardens..or something..

oh, behold the result of google + forkandles..

Ah chocolate
Ah red wine
Ah fucking excruciating bloody headache tomorrow morning

Had intended to be in Leicester this weekend but left booking my tickets too late & couldn't get any sheap ones for times that I wanted to travel, so that has been put back for 2 or 3 weeks. Not having made other arrangements for this weekend I am now being a sad...
