Yesterday was my little sister's 25th birthday. I wanted to post some pictures of her when she was the age her son now is but I couldn't find them
But when I do I will anyway.

a bit like this maybe ?

I had the life scared out of me by next-door's young cat yesterday.
I was minding my own business in my bedroom and glimpsed from the corner of my eye a small creature dart across the room and go under the bed.
After climbing down from the wardrobe and seeing the cat's face peering back when I peered into the chaos under there I was...

Violence is often my first idea to deal with work, I'll have to start taking valium before I catch my bus at this rate.
I think that the broadband bit will have to be done though.

T. S Eliot - Prelude 1:
One of my favourite poems. It is so atmospheric I can almost feel myself in the scene he describes.
Although the scene is from another age it evokes experiences & places from the village in which I spent my early years (no cab-horses or lamplighters though - I'm not that old!). Life seemed more certain & less complicated then....

Had I been a Catholic they would probably have carted me off to the convent a long time ago.
So as I'm getting ready to go out I have one last thing to do. I lock my room, put my keys on top of the suitcase Silja left on the landing, think "better not put them on there, I'll go out without them".
Ten minutes later I am at my landlord's door. He says "Oh, hi Col. Keys?" "Yep".
I am photo'd out. Went...

i really liked your response about my earth & environment entry. i feel exactly as you do, i think.
sometimes i hear people talking about the probability of a future break out of bird flu or something, killing 1/3 of the world's humans, and as sick as it sounds, i think it might be a good idea. now i'm not some sort of fascist ethnic cleanser bent on extermination or anything, but we just keep breeding like viruses and its killing our only planet!
last year about this time, a friend of a family member was pregnant. she asked me if i was ever going to have a baby. i just looked at her and said i would never breed. then she looked up at me from whatever she was doing like she knew all the answers, in a kind sort of we're-equal-but-different kind of way and said 'for moral reasons?'
i said yes.
we didn't talk much after that, but that might have just been the circumstances. i think she was one of the few people in my life to ever kind of get that about me.
it was a good interaction. we were both very different people, but very respectful and understanding of the others' point of view. no pressure, no judgement.
ah, i have digressed...

Alas no gigs this weekend, i really need to see Gin Panic again as it's been ages and want to hear the new stuff. Still haven't seen Pornovurt live either, but soon.
Poland was amazing, was 3rd time in the country but the first chance to check out the whole of the place, Gdansk is up there with Krakow as two of the finest cities in europe, and the band went down a storm too, the website is still going nuts with Polish girls which can't be bad.

she's pulling the same concentration face that i desperately try not to do
aparently there is a proper medical reason people stick their tongues out when they're concentrating on something physical
for a time i thought i was the only one

Well, I very much used to stop all singing/playing in a band activities a few years back because I just got tired of trying to build something that would last
...and being fucked over by the other members of the band leaving for all sorts of usual reasons (gf/work/no balls/etc...) really got to me. After that, I kinda lost the spark and I've never been that interested anymore eversince. Nowadays, I'd rather work on some electronic music for fun than carry an impossibly heavy amp & a guitar around!
PS: what was your problem with the "business side" of music photography?
