Perhaps you read this from my last blog.............
All of this though has brought up thoughts and feelings about Vitamin F, VF is the band (duo, whatever) I formed with Chris in 2003.
After only 8 months of knowing each other we somehow ended up in Los Angeles for a month recording our stuff, it was a total total insane experience and I think we thought we were bound for international notoriety.
Ha, nearly 7 years later we are about as notorious as the bingo caller downtown.
We have to own up I feel and admit that we could have done more to self-promote, however, we do feel that our progress has been blocked, hindered etc by some spiritual fucking darkness that just does not want out sound to reach the ears of others.
If VF did somehow go by the wayside I would be truly traumatised, I feel so strongly that our songs have so much to give and the new stuff we have written is off the hook!
We have a meeting on Monday to devise a masterplan revamp our website etc, so I'm hoping that we will overcome the things that might wanna write us off.
We did indeed meet on Monday night and it went very well, shed loads of creative ideas.
BUT, better still I received this e-mail yesterday......
Dear Ian, Thank you for sending your 'Nothing By Comparison' CD to UCB back in May. It
is always fantastic to receive music from artists such as yourself.
As you can imagine we receive thousands of CDs every year and have no way of
adding all these tracks to our playlist. However, we have a passion for
developing local music content and remain committed to new artists.
We have listened to your album and feel it would be perfect for a new show
we plan to start, highlighting unsigned artists. We have therefore kept
your album and details on our database.
We look forward to hearing more from you in the future and wish you all the
best for your musical career.

As you might imagine I was delighted and soooooooooooo excited about what this might lead to!
I have been praying so much lately for us to find a way to break through, phew, could this be the opportunity that will be a real opening for us????
