Man I hate being sick, specially when you're sick over the weekend. But luckily I was still sick enough this morning to justify taking a day off, my first sick day in the 6 months I've been at my new job. But yeah, a little SG time is helping me recover, though I'm avoiding catching up on the sets I've missed, as that maybe lead to the whole sick day disappearing before my eyes.
Apart from the poor health the weekend was good, my girlfriend and I spent friday night at a bowling going away party for a co worker of mine, learned that I really suck at bowling, except when I use a sparkly pink ball and throw it with two handsl, then I seemed to get them all down. After that we headed to a birthday party for a mutual friend, and spent the night marvelling at her collection of disney animation action figures, and other random collectables. Good times, and caught up with a few friends I've not seen in a while.
The rest of my sick time was spent mostly watching movies, eating and sleeping, napped twice yesterday arvo. Watching Sanjuro again, made me truly ponder why Toshiro Mifune is not considered one of the greatest actors of all time. Personally that guy has more character in one grunt, and facial expression, than most of the 'so called' leading men in hollywood today. If you don't him, rent Yojimbo, or Sanjuro, or Seven Samurai, or even Zaitoichi vs. Yojimbo, and marvel at this mans acting skills. You can watch him with the subtitles off, and with no understanding of Japanese, and still understand everything his character is saying.
Anyways, I am going to attempt to make the most of this sick day. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Today I found out what it was that the Japanese Girl, from the Taku Kitchen had been asking of me last week. She is leaving for home in a week, and wanted to catch up with me before she left. Isn't that sweet.
