Hope you all had a great new years, and a great start to 2006.
I spent my new years at home, being a bit reflective, muching junk food, watching movies, the highlights being a lovely phone call to my girl, who I miss dearly, and opening my yoshitomo nara calendar (coz apparently its bad luck to open calendars before the new year). Just wanna say thanks to ampersand and missellie for inviting me out on the town. Sorry I didnt take you up on the off guys, I would love to have spent the time with yas, but I just wasn't in the mood for crowds, and driving all that way.
Quite happy with my start to the new year, my lack of partying allowed me to get up early and start the new year with a surf in the lovely glass blue ocean, it wasnt huge, but good fun, and I got a couple of nice rides on the mal.
My hunny starts her first day of work at the zoo today, so everyone mentally send her encouraging happy thoughts. She is amazing, and cares so much for the animals, that there is no way she won't do a great job.
Oooh I bought a new shinai on new years eve, the primary reason being that i broke my new one. I really shouldnt visit weapons shops often though, I wanted to bring home a jo, a rather pointy spear and some nunchukas also but sadly $$ prevented me
but yeah, did a few sets of haya suburi, and the new shinais seems quite good, not the quality of the japanese one I just broke, but a little thinner and maybe faster.
We fired up the woodfire pizza oven yesterday (mum pres from dad for xmas), and I made some sexy delicious pizzas of fresh dough delicious sauce, cheese, marinated eggplant, mushrooms, sundried tomatos, marinated capsicum (yellow peppers), some fetta and some tomato, delicious I tells ya, and now I don't wanna leave home coz I'll be too far from the pizza oven.
Hmm anyways I am heading to the pool to do some laps, but while I'm gone, don't be thinking you can mess with my shizznit, coz Bunny is watching you.
