Whipping the youth of tomorrow into shape today is quite a bit of fun.

Of course, I need whipping into shape also.

Any volunteers?

Seriously, I do need to go and get a decent workout; there's already more of me than I really want to have around. Those friends of mine who are amenable to helping me with this, though, are out of the area...

Be advised, the US House of Representatives has made a move toward restricting the Internet, and given the proclivities of the aging, power-hungry, hyper-orthodox politicians, comprising as they do the worst part of humanity, this site and most of what we love about the Internet will be subjected to monopolistic regulation by the uber-conservative telecom companies. Go to Save the Internet for more information; I...

Firstly, JoieLynn and Luz, I hope you had a good semester's end.

Secondly, I have been thinking about what I have been posting in the many, many sets of writings I do. I seem to be putting up different facets of myself, showing some to one set, some to another, but all to none.

I begin to wonder how well anyone can know me....

Been about a week, but I've got an entry worth entering. It comes from last night, which I was drunk enough to regret but sober enough to recall. In full. Getting all of it's gut-wrenching glory.

Said a friend of mine:

"I thought about nominating [Folgha]-I'm-Batman-because-I-hung-upside-down-in-a-cage-at-a-gay-bar-in-Little-Rock-[last name], or maybe [Luz]-did-you-see-her-tattoos-fuck-that-did-you-see-her-ass-[last name]."

Yes, Luz (go look her up) has a wonderful ass. And interesting tattoos.

Yes,...

It's been about a week since my last entry. I've had an interesting time over the week. But none of that matters right now.

What matters is that I'm here, now, with you, and I love you.

Well, not all of you.

And I'd like to love a lot of you a lot more.

That is all.

JoieLynn, this one's for you:

>We have a pole in the office?

Yes, several, actually.

>Did you use the pole from my curtain?

No. The other Lynn in Deuce-38.

>Isn't pole a funny word? Pole. Pole. Pole? Pole! Pole?! (that's incredulous punctuation)

Oh, very much yes.

>We should have a limbo contest next time we all are in the office together. I'll throw $5 down...

The Warlord has a funny story to tell you.

A couple of days ago, I got back to school from a short holiday. I rested for a while, and then got together with a friend to play frisbee in a park near campus.

It was dark and we were both assing off, and before long, the frisbee got stuck in a tree. My friend looked...

We should have a limbo contest next time we all are in the office together. I'll throw $5 down on Baier.

The Warlord ordains that there be a period of mourning, now, for his faithful hound has died.

Seriously, folks, my mother called me about an hour ago. The lab-shepherd mix we've had for fourteen years or so, Puck, seems to have gone to sleep last night and never woken up. There were no marks on his body, no evidence that he had suffered. He simply...

Oh, I am so sorry to hear about your pup. It's a terrible thing to have to go through.

Before we got Ivan, we took in a stray we named Frank. We only had him for about 3 months before he died (he was very sick), but it was still so hard losing him. 14 years just doesn't compare.

On the up side, 14 years isn't bad. And going in your sleep isn't either.

He was a good dog.

Okay, been a few days since the Warlord has updated the journal. It's time to do so now, helps to wash off the taint of hick that still seems to be clinging to me.

That might beg a bit of explaining. I went to a White Trash Bash for April Fool's day. It was fun, actually, more so than most parties I've been to.

Not...

The parties that are associated with our mates at school are lame.

I don't necessarily think that Acadiana parties are lame (because I have been to some good parties), just that most nerds don't know how to throw a party.

Which is a shame. I love a nerd who knows how to party (see Husband, who qualifies himself as being a "geek," rather than a "nerd," but the same rules apply).

Of course, this is contingent on my being able to schedule in time to "party."

God, I am such a freakin' nerd.
luz:
hey warlord, enough of the bullshit...

you ARE here for the partying!

oh.

and the medieval stuff.
