Sonya and I hosted a little get-together last night. It was a resounding success, certainly, but it did last until entirely too early in the morning. As a result, we've missed church again, which is a bit of an annoyance, since we like the Church of the Village. But we'll be going next week and the week after, for certain.

Okay, so, too long away, yes?
Not much to report. Still working. Semester is winding down. Thanksgiving was good.
Led off the Advent celebration at CotV today. Church now hitting us up for worship leading and suchlike. Sounds like fun.
I'll be preparing some kind of set of readings for my reading class. Wording is bad, I know.
Brain drained. Blech.

Had an excellent day yesterday. Quiet. Productive. Long. Went to a party. Ate much. Drank much. Slept much. Ergo, stayed home today. Also good. Quiet. Not so productive. Probably going to be as long.
Nice time, though. Not complaining.

Sonya and I joined the Church of the Village today. It was a nice little ceremony, and it will help us to start our pre-marital counseling this week.
I must admit that I am quite frankly surprised by the amount of religious activity that goes on in New York City, even considering the immensity of its population. Typically, I had associated New York with exceptionally...

Life here in NYC continutes to go decently well. Sonya and I are joining the Church of the Village next week; it is very nice for us both to have found a place where we feel like we can belong. For myself, I can say that my mother was, in fact, right.
She knows what I'm talking about.

So, I made it through Death Month intact. I don't even have mono this time. Life is good.
The trip to Baton Rouge went well. It was quite nice to see the folks I saw, both my colleagues and my family. I look forward to doing so again.
Now, laundry, catching up on grading, and putting together a panel for the 2010 SCMLA Conference in...

Yes, I know I missed making my blog post yesterday.
No, I don't really have anything to say.
I'll be heading out of town this week. Sunday will be my day to come back. I may not have any new blogging then, either.
That is all.

Twenty-one years ago today was the death of James H. Bryant, my grandfather. Not the best association with the date, to be sure.
Today, though, has been a good day for me. Sonya and I went to the Church of the Village this morning. The service was nice, if a bit long, and the bishop personally invited us back. I think we'll be...

Posted from the same place as lasst week's.
Yesterday was a good day.
Sonya came through with a bit of an early birthday present for me. Radio City Music Hall hosted a performance of the score of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, played live to a showing of the film. It was AWESOME. Raised goosebumps on me. Vocalists, particularly Kaitlyn...

Sonya and I went to a little medieval festival up at Fort Tryon Park. We had a pretty good time there, even if it was a bit crowded and under-served with food. The music was fine, the craft booths were pretty good, and watching people get smacked upside the head with sticks is always, ALWAYS funny.
