Sonya and I had a lovely time at church this morning, though I did find myself drawn in--entirely unexpectedly--to Palm Sunday functions. I think I muddled through decently well, but still...
This week promises to be a busy one. I am only teaching four days, since TCI is off on Friday for Good Friday, but I will still have to get more work done on my dissertation. I am in a good spot at the moment, though, since I am actually engaged in the textual analysis portion of the work. Once I get all the passages done, I'll be able to wrap the chapter draft up and send it along to my committee.
Hopefully, I shall also be able to get something done as regards securing permission to reproduce some images in the text of the diss. So far, I've checked with a few places, and some will extend me permission without charge. Others want money for some work done.
I certainly do not begrudge this; people deserve to be compensated for the work they do. However, I am not exactly a wealthy man. I cannot afford to pay regular fees plus $50 per image for fifteen to twenty images, not on my own.
There are grants out there, I know, and it seems that I shall be seeking a few of them to help defray costs. Any recommendations would be most welcome.
