Sonya and I just got back from going to church and going to lunch.
We went to church in preparation for getting married. Since we're getting hitched in the United Methodist Church, it makes sense to us (and to the preacher) that we get "pre-marital counseling," and since dropping in out of the blue and asking for that would be a little gauche, we're trying to go to church.
The one we went to is in Brooklyn. It was a bit different from UMC services I'd been to. I'm not sure I liked it.
We're trying a different one next week.
