I said that I'd try to be good, and so I'm back making a post on the blog.

I'm set to do a poetry reading with a friend on Thursday. I'm trying to get more stuff written on it; I have an idea percolating about one explaining why I call myself the English Department Warlord. The joke is already not funny; explaining it can't hurt. Much.

Else than that, my nerdiness is going strong. The little reprobates that I teach seem to be bearing up well as yet, and my own little reprobate nature is bearing up in the classes I'm taking as well. I am, in fact, about to go to the office and see if I can't keep that going.

I've been overly tired over the past few days. Perhaps it is only the shift back into a schedule. I hope that's what it is.

Tomorrow is a year since Katrina. I'm ambivalent about the media attention. It's good that there is some sort of an attempt to remember the event, especially as the aftermath is still with us. However, I don't see anything really being done about it. This may be because I don't pay attention, but, well...

I don't know what I'm saying. Sounds like I ought to go and write some theory text or somesuch.
