I miss living in Florida. I would always get excited about hurricanes. I liked that school let out early or we didn't have to go at all. I liked sitting in the dark, listening to rain hit our tin roof. I liked looking out the window and watching the lightning strike. I loved listening to the howl of the winds. It was peaceful and exciting all at once (If that makes any sense). I would get to eat all the icecream in the freezer.....we didn't want it to melt. I liked listening to our battery radio while sitting out on our front porch. When it was calm enough....I remember always walking to the beach to see the awesomeness of the waves. I remember going outside and looking at all the damage....on several occasions I remember being blown by the wind....not being able to move in a forward direction.
