so.. i'm still alive and such.. not much new happening in the world of steve.. or.. i suppose there is? it all seems mundane to me..
giftmas is over.. and i'm glad.. had a nice visit with my parents + their cats.. family visit with my aunt and uncle/etc. was ok.. not as gossipy/bitchy as i was expecting which was a nice surprise..
had some people over on friday.. which was.. interesting? i can't really say exciting.. most people had left by 1am.. myself, a friend and her friend she brought stayed up watching movies.. i think.. i hadn't slept since wednesday night/thursday morning so.. i was getting very spaced out.. i remember the very start of labryinth.. tobey had just been kidnapped.. then they were on the staircases when i blinked next and my friends were laughing at me.. ahh good times.. also dusted off my NES which was pretty fun.. i was amazed at how good i still am at an old pinball game i had, and duck hunt and such..
new years was pretty tame for me. i worked until 11:30, got a cab about 10 feet away from work and made it to the party i was headed to with about 10 minutes to spare.. it was a nice time.. i didn't drink much at all.. my throat has been sore for about a week and booze made it really hurt.. saw a few people i hadn't seen in a long time so that was nice..
a couple other things happened.. "our"/the new bar is coming along quite well (for really real this time!) so that has me rather excited.. need to wait and hear how the final inspection goes.. should be sometime this week.. so probably i'll be in there after work cleaning/whatevering to try and help out.. and someone i had met back in may is weighing heavily on my mind again.. as far as i know she's single again.. and i had a crush on her back in may.. and nothing in that has changed..
now i'm off to fold laundry and read more hp lovecraft.. (i've picked up 3 of his books since the middle of december and they've all been phenomenal.. why oh why did i wait so long to read his stuff?)
