so... i no longer have a car..

*has a moment of silence and lights a road flare in memory*

as i mentiond in my lj (for the whole.. 1 or maybe 2 of you on here that are on my friends list there), it felt like i was putting down an old sick pet.. there was too much wrong with it to begin with.. and then.. what killed it on the gardiner expressway was the transmission went..

so today my parents nicely offered to give me a ride to and from toronto so i could clear the last of my stuff out of it and sign the ownership so the car garage could legally give it to the wrecker's.. (i figure any scrap money they might get for it at least gives them something to pay back the time spent looking at it..)

but.. i can still afford to see shiny toy gun on aug 25th and rancid on sept 1st.. a car rental for the day is only about 40 bucks after taxes (or around that) from looking online.. so that makes me very much relieved..

it would have figured something like this would happen again when i have plans to see Rancid.. from the first time i ever heard the song nihlism, i loved the band and everytime i've made plans to try and see them.. something has happened.. a few examples.. i didn't even find out about the show until the day after.. there was a time i had made plans, etc.. got sick for a couple days before the show so by the timei was better, i had completely forgotten about it.. things like that..

anyway.. enough of my ramblings..
