so.. it's 730am and i'm still awake.

*shoots self in head*

today is not going to be fun at work.. can't afford to call in sick to catch up on sleep.. have to get up for wrk in 5 hours max and i'm still wide awake..

i spent today at work looking over fanshawe's website for possible things to take that could lead to decent paying jobs..

i came up with a somewhat well rounded list within a theme.. they all tend towards construction/manufacturing as factory type jobs or the construction industry type jobs get to have normal working hours and can pay well.. most of the things i looked at i can see actually being interesting.. or.. at least not as mind numbing as the drudgery that is being a phone monkey..

a part of me still wants to do something creative but.. i'm not that much of a gambler in that i haven't really found any talents i have that are head and shoulders above the rest at things and.. in this day and age it seems you really need that to live comfortably off artistic skill without having to work another full time job.. i think in the grand scheme of things.. i'd like to keep dj-ing whereever i can part time.. it's fun and creative and i can still play around with making horrible music at home on my computer..

there's a few i think that could be rather lucrative if i was able to specialize in them.. (repairing the robotics factories use came to mind.. i don't really suspect there are many of those people kicking around..)

i can't complain as much as <lj user="marknumbertwo"> but i'm really beginning to hate the shift i work now.. the days aren't the greatest but it's the 2:45 until 1130pm i really loathe.. it kills doing anything with people in the afternoon.. or at night with most people..

i'm glad i'm starting to find out something to do instead of just sitting and wasting away, tethered to a desk with a coiled cord..

i'm thinking within the next few weeks to go tour the trades school at fanshawe since i've never actually been there before..

does anyone that reads this have any experience with going back to school as a mature student? i'm curious as to what's involved and if it helped you with osap/financial aid at all? i want to try and have some idea of the situation before i start communicating with the school itself..

I went back to school last year, but it wasn't really school. It was just some night classes that you just paid for up front. So I guess I'm not much help.

I woke up feeling like shit today. My apartment might have been to hot last night and now I'm all stuffy. I can't miss work either. blackeyed

i can't imagine being a mature student would help you get osap. if you've been on your own and have had a full time job and steady income it may make it more difficult for you to get osap. good luck though.....sorry to rain on your parade.

i didn't get any sleep last night either. poo.
