"If I get angry in English I get icy, tall and thin. If I get angry in Spanish I spray words around the room with my arms wide open, gesticulating furiously. Liberating!" Alastair Reid
I found this quote today while looking up info on Mr. Reid (my personal hero). I like it, because I also find that being multilingual allows for my personalities to grow in different directions. English-speaking and Spanish-speaking Flux are two entirely different characters; the former is very erudite and snarky and shakes her booty in one way, and the latter is very growly and poetic and has an entirely different method of shaking her booty. In fact, it has reached the point where I write creatively almost exclusively in Spanish these days. Russian-speaking Flux seems to be growing in a new sort of direction, but so far, for the life of me, I can't figure out how she shakes her booty.

Also, I thought your V-day reflections were great. Not too touchy-feely cliche but realistically psyched about love.

i hope to see a new set soon from you (even if it goes up before mine).
