SO LAST NIGHT i saw Lightning Bolt. lucky flux of course makes sure she's at the front row so that she can shove and sway and almost land face-first on the drum kit a few times. because, truthfully, that's the only cure for my misanthropy. i'm generally a happy person, but i don't like people very much. however, if i go to a really energetic show with a great crowd that's feeling the love, i can thrash out all my passive-aggression until every human on earth is my sibling and my lover in rock and roll.
and, good Lord, was i feeling it last night! a Bolt concert is like being run over by a monster truckvisceral, violent, and orgasmic in its cacophony. i still can't hear a goddamned thing, and i'm covered in bruises. that's how i like my music, i guess. i know.
