Just reread Cat's Cradle a couple of weeks ago. Holds up well. The displacement of the Cold War with more esoteric threats makes the Ice Nine image even more compelling. Networked suicide.

Have you read Cormac McCarthy's The Road? Oddly it's now the Oprah Book Club selection but don't let that discourage you.
