In 1998, I attended what I now affectionately call "nerd camp" for the first time. It was there that I met the first love of my young life, Nescafe. That was also a World Cup year. Later, he explained his theory that Cup years are inherently lucky, and I still, do this day, have to agree. 1998 & 2002 were the two best years of my life thus far. And now 2006 has rolled around and it's been glorious. I could believe that luck just might come in fours.

Today, it begins again, the glorious campen. I was originally supposed to be in Deutschland right now with the aforementioned first love, our tickets fell through a few months ago, and, you know, having a job is sort of nice.

So, instead, I'll grab a TV whenever I can.
