here i am, in my old bedroom where i grew up, in my parent's house, back home.
i put on my new shirt and nice pants, washed my hands, and then sat down for another year of eating too much and reading books to escape. holiday dinner was quite nice, and it is always nice to be with family, even though everyone else is happy with the election results, even my 7 year old nephew.
all the furniture is different now, but i am sitting in the exact same spot as i was sitting 10 years ago. wow, exactly ten years ago i was in my last year of high school, with my new 486 66mhz computer on my desk, sitting in a chair exactly where i am sitting now, with one ear open to who walks by, so i can hide the porn on the computer screen. somethings never change.

my parents won't even talk about politics with my brother and me. they know we talk them to the ground about it. especially bush.
