It's Sunday morning and I feel like I've been hit by a truck.

Now I know what you're thinking... Flit must have gotten so wasted this weekend! This is not the case.

BE PEACE: featuring Noah Levine Buddhist teacher & author of "Dharma Punx".
This is the event that we've been putting so much energy and work towards for New Leaf Yoga Foundation. A charity bringing yoga and meditation to incarcerated youth.

I had the chance to meet Noah and hang out for a bit. He's so chill and cool, and I've finally found a teacher that I resonate with. Too bad he lives in LA and I'll have to travel to the states to participate in other workshops, but this can and must be done at some point.

Life is a little overwhelming at times, and he asked me if my SG pin was for Suicide Girls. I choked, don't get me wrong I wanted to tell him all about Canada East and how much fun we all have, but I also struggle with the alter-ego when I'm at Yoga related events...

I asked him 'my question' which I was totally unprepared for the answer, My self-medicating is something that I can and will eventually achieve sans 'crutches'... but I know that I'm not ready... yet.

I am a work-in-progress.

May you be happy, may you be at ease, may you be free from suffering.

aren't we all works in progress?

At least we all should be. I plan to keep growing , learning and changing until I am done.

I watched the documentary "Fierce Light" in my Environment in Popular Education class, and it featured Noah Levine. It was a really empowering environmental/social activism film; you should check it out. It also talks a lot about Julia Butterfly Hill. See what it's all about here and keep fighting the good fight smile
