Okay, as usual I finally got that certain someone to respond to me by sending her a text that sounded angry. That seems to be the only way to get her to do something. She told me that she had been sick, was having a hard time keeping her life and work together, and that I was stressing her out. I am not going to lie; it made me feel bad. But how am I supposed to know any of this if she doesn't tell me. I am not a mind reader. I have told her before that if she is feeling sick all she has to do is let me know that she isn't feeling well and will catch up with me later. I am totally cool with that. What I am not cool with is being completely ignored by someone who tells me they care deeply about me. The basic problem is that we come from two completely different familial backgrounds. Her mother was selfish and offered little support so my "friend" left home at 17. My family is incredibly loyal. We are oftentimes a bit dysfunctional and always loud, but we always have the other person's back. My mother is so self-sacrificing, she is literally the most amazing woman I know.

So anyway enough of that. We kind of got it ironed out for now. She mentioned that she had recently had a very stressful experience during a traffic stop. The officer handcuffed her and put her in the back of the squad car for around 45 minutes, but she said he didn't have enough cause to actually take her in. She was at work, so she couldn't tell me the whole story, but I can guess she might not be as innocent as she will make it when I hear it recounted. She can have a super wicked temper. I think she and her boyfriend (that would be my brother-in-law) fight about every thirty minutes or so. I wouldn't be surprised if the cop overreacted. Many people who enter the police force gravitate towards it because they have an authoritarian personality to begin with and can't stand being challenged. But after I felt bad for her, I must admit I was a little turned on about the idea of her being handcuffed in the back of a squad car. I have no idea what that is about!!! tongue
