today i was out in front of the gas station where i work. i looked up just in time to see a guy pushing a girl while she was on a pay phone. she started yelling "helllp! helllp!" the guy then left and sat in the front seat of a nearby car. then the girl started yelling for him to get out of her car. knowing the two were obviously a couple, i realized that if he is not abusing her physically he eventually will. so i called the coppers. within a minute a patrol car showed up. they interviewed the two and called me back (i was asked to give the # from where i called) and i was asked if i saw him strike her, and i did not. so no arrests were made, and i feel like something should have happened.
