I went shopping for Austin, my new nephew yesterday. I got him some baby toys, a collection of Dr Seuss books and my favorite childhood book "Where the Wild things are." I'm digging this uncle thing-can't wait until he's old enough to get him the really cool toys.

We finally got a diagnosis on my mom. She has Parkinson's disease, which they already knew, but they've decided she also has polymyositis. Its an autoimmune disease that weakens the muscles. This actually isn't such bad news. They will be able to treat this with steroids and she will be able to walk up stairs and get in and out of chairs more easily. This...

Darwin damn it, I needed that! I finally got to take the chopper out to terrorize the Yuppies. I wound up stopping by Poodie's Hilltop Bar. I've had a hard time time finding a bar out here that I liked enough to hang out at. There are a few biker bars that are mostly filled with a mix of white trash and RUBs, but no...

Okay, your bike is faster than mine...
but I built mine out of scraps! And it goes plenty fast, actually... It's geared pretty tall, like giving up 1st gear to gain a 6th gear. NO good for drag racing (unlike yours).

Peggy Suicide played bass in a band I had a few years ago called Mother Trucker, when she was taking some time off from the Flametricks. She's a hoot! We worked out a good barter deal: I rebuilt her bass and she gave me some very sweet tats.
She's not slapping bass anymore, here's her new deal: INK STAINED

I was supposed to work at a benefit concert for the Austin Zoo but it got rained out. Just as well; as much as I love this charity, the band was going to be a Grateful Dead cover band. Between that and the odor of patchouli oil that would inevitably come along with it, it would have been a long evening.

Here's my gripe for...

Roller Derby rocked! There were fights, blood, flirting and plenty of cheesy fun. I talked to an old friend, Anya, there and found out that she has moved out west near where I am. Hooray! I'm not alone out here any more. Even that giant woman (must have been at least 602" and I'd love to try to climb her) on the Rhinestone Cowgirls' team...

Today I had a choice. I could clean the house or get the garage set up the way I want it...The house is still a mess. While I was going through boxes, I discovered an old stereo I had owned way back in high school. It even had a turntable! I hooked it up and it worked although through only one speaker. There was the...

I watched The Alamo the other day. I felt obligated since it was filmed two miles from my house. They seemed to stick to the historical facts, as well as they are known, on the major points. The characters were ridiculously over the top though. I was amused by many of the details though, like Santa Anna marching his army through the south Texas snow...

I went to my quarterly firearms qualification the other day. I was singing along to "Lee Harvey" as I pulled up to the range. This inspired me to draw a big "W" on the forehead of my silhouette. I'll probably get in trouble for that, but I just don't really give a shyte any more. One guy said "Sometimes you scare me" I just replied...
