OK, this is probably old news to everyone else, but it's new to me. I was doing a little checking and discovered that the new pope admits to being in the Hitler Youth when he was 14, being an antiaircraft gunner's helper at 16 and being in the Nazi army at 18 just before the end of the war. Now, not to blow things completely out of proportion, he says that he was drafted to all these positions and I don't doubt that too much.
However, it makes me wonder what's wrong when an admitted Nazi is the best you can come up with. Maybe all the other candidates had already been caught molesting alter boys.

I think think the new pope looks half dead already, they were healthier looking people in the nursing home I used to work in
