Turned on the TV and there was a dead pontiff on almost every channel. Now, with my history of being militantly anti organized religion, there are probably a few of you wondering if I may have had a hand in his demise. Just for the record, as far as popes go, I don't think he was a bad guy. He was fairly progressive for someone who was furor of the Catholic church. I can disagree with someone and still like them. Hell, I'd rather have a beer with him than with Bush.

In more important news: The new hot rod is very sick. I think I've holed a piston or something like that. It looks like rebuild time even though it was professionally rebuilt about 500 miles ago. It's building up excessive pressure inside the block and blowing oil out the dipstick and keeps rupturing the radiator. The company that built the car is supposed to "help" me with the problem. As long as it doesn't wind up breaking the bank with whatever "help" they offer, I won't be suicidal over it. I was actually upset that almost everything that there was to be done on the car had been completed. If they would pay for repair costs, maybe I will try to rebuild it myself. I wanted to change out to Edelbrock heads, intake, dual Stromberg 97 carburetors and lake style headers. This would be a good time to do that. I'm also considering cutting off the roof of the cab and making it into a roadster.
