I just can't believe this. I've been on jury duty all week. It was a sexual assault trial.


I'm so disgusted with Travis County jury's that I feel ill. This transient was found with his pants down around his ankles. He is in a girl's car. The girl has never seen this guy before.
The girl is undressed and unconscious/just barely breathing with this guy on top of her. She was turning blue and very nearly died. The transient says the girl came to him and asked him for sex. This is a fairly attractive 22 year old girl and a very dirty disgusting transient. His semen is later found inside the girl.

The girl admits to taking heroin and then blacking out and not remembering anything till she woke up in the hospital.

Most of the rest of the jury seemed to feel that just because the girl was unconscious and couldn't specifically say that she didn't give the transient consent to fuck her in the ass (yes, literally correct, there was trauma to the anus) that we have to assume that the transients story that she asked him for sex and consented was true....even though he was caught on top of her while she was passed out and almost dead.

At least, mostly because of me (I believe) there was a hung jury rather than an acquittal and they will retry it.
